(limited edition weighing 181 grams of 18K gold)
The King Midas is by far one of the most interesting Rolex Watches ever made. The watch is one of the only numbered limited edition watches (limited to 1000) produced and is the heaviest gold watch ever made by the company. The watch was a hit and was owned by such celebrities as Elvis and even John Wayne! Please note that it is no coincidence the King Midas and the Piaget Polo look similar. It was definately a competition between Rolex and Piaget. Rolex is of course a house hold name while most non-enthusiast don't even know how to pronounce Piaget let alone what it is.

Piaget is pronounced "Pee" "Ah" "Jay" by the way.
The Midas was incredibly expensive! It was even more expensive than a Rolex Day-Date "President". So, it is fair to say that the Rolex King Midas was a very special watch and came in with very special packaging. The watch definitely has the coolest box ever offered IMHO (In my humble opinion)
