Rolex, Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe "CIOCCOLATONE"

There are many oddities amongst vintage watch cases. It is safe to say the 1920s-1940s brought many interesting case designs as well as lug configurations (Scross, Devil Horn etc.) One of my personal favorite non-linear cases are square-ish and look like little chocolates or "CIOCCOLATONE"as the Italians call them.

Below are some of my favorite "CIOCCOLATONE", which translates roughly into Chocolate.

In my opinion, these are highly under-valued. While, they are somewhat smallish to today's standards, they are charming watches that make the perfect "Girlfriend" present. Especially some of the Rolex models as they are Automatic movements. No offense to Lady Swiss Monsters, but it is obvious manual wind is not the preferred choice.

Below is my personal favorite: Rolex  ref. 4645 in 14K gold with Automatic movement.
