Stealth Wealth Saturday.

Sorry guys, I was a little busy yesterday and didn't get a chance to post this.

Today I have a super stealth wealth timepiece. Please note that this timepiece does not hail from Switzerland! This watch is of Japanese origin and is made by a one hundred and thirty year old company (Seiko!). The watch line called "Grand Seiko" should not be confused with the standard Seiko, as it is leagues above a standard release. The Grand Seiko series is the top of the line series with complicated models costing in the tens of thousands. The current series features a revolutionary in house movement "Spring drive Caliber 9S64" that boast a seventy four hour power reserve as well as other mechanical achievements. Theses watches are extremely well made (as well made as many top Swiss manufacturer). After all, it is no secret that the Japanese are huge watch enthusiast and as such set the bar extraordinarily high. It is my understanding that certain models are not even allowed to be exported from Japan. The Grand Seiko SBGW033 is my favorite from the series and is this Saturday's candidate for Stealth Wealth status.

Seiko SBGW033 approx. $7,000-----Super Stealth Wealth! I mean come on, the dial says Seiko!

Pictured above are what the photographer/owner calls an "Unlikely Couple" A Patek Philippe Nautilus 5711-1A & Grand Seiko Automatic. In my opinion considering the prices of some of Grand Seiko's latest releases it seems that a Patek and Grand Seiko are a perfect couple!
