Swatch Out!

Swatch group, the company you may know from the cheap same-named watches from the 80's, has won their right to decrease supply of their ETA movements to competitors. Thursday a Swiss court rejected and dismissed an appeal filed by 11 watch firms. ETA, owned by Swatch group is the largest suppliers of "Swiss" movements. Nicholas Hayek, the companies former CEO (deceased now succeeded by his son Nicholas Hayek Jr.) has won in his effort to minimize case makers posing as watchmakers. The company will still supply its  hairsprings (used by Patek & Rolex +) as well as movements to it's deemed loyal and worthy Clients.

A certain CEO commented "This will weaken only the weak."
Very true.
